Abstract

This research was based on a formative experience with 21 teachers from Abraham Lincoln School. The project consisted of setting teaching strategies using ICT’S (Information and Communication Technologies) to reinforce thinking skills like analysis, comparison, classification and argumentation.

There was a revision of the state of the art regarding studies focused on the teachers’ training and pedagogical strategies using information and communication technologies. There were considered the guidelines given by the National Ministry of Education (2013) about the competences that teachers must have to integrate ICT´S in the classroom.

This was a qualitative research project which used a methodological case study. The main objective was to analyze how a training course to reinforce the technological and pedagogical competences of primary teachers and the creation of strategies using ICT’S support the development of thinking processes.

For the teachers´ training process, it was used a VLO (Virtual Learning Object) with the objective to reinforce knowledge and to create and apply technological tools

To conclude, it was observed that the strategies using ICT’S contributed to the reinforcement of teaching-learning processes in teachers by means of the creation of virtual learning objects.
